This hardly calls for a blog post. Yet, me being me, I am posting it :)
All credit for this goes to the ready made batter I bought from the store and the super duper non stick Dosa Pan I recently bought. My only contribution was making the onion roast (lol!)

All credit for this goes to the ready made batter I bought from the store and the super duper non stick Dosa Pan I recently bought. My only contribution was making the onion roast (lol!)
Ingredients: (for 2 dosa's)
- Dosa Batter - 2 ladles
- Onion - 1
- Green Chilly - 1
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Cut onions and green chilly into small fine pieces
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the onion and green chilly till onions are pink.
- Add salt to the mixture
- Heat the dosa tawa. The dosa tawa should be just hot. If it becomes overtly hot, your dosa will stick to the pan.
- Take one ladle of batter, pour it in the center of the tawa and spread it around the pan in circular motions.
- Add 1 tsp of ghee (or more if u want it yummier :) )
- Once the side on the pan is done, toss it over and cook the other side.
- Now toss it over once again, spread half the onion/chilly saute that you have prepared
- Fold the Dosa from both sides towards the center and serve hot on a plate
Note: You can make variations to this by adding more to the saute or applying any spread/pickle, powder or chutney on the dosa.
